An outstanding opportunity is available for a Cancer Research Specialist to become a part of the Personalised Oncology Division at one of Australia's leading biomedical research organizations.
About the Role
This role presents an exciting chance for a skilled and enthusiastic researcher with a keen interest in cancer research to join the team led by A/Prof Tracy Putoczki. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the advancement of patient-derived pancreatic cancer models, focusing on the exploration of cellular signaling pathways, and collaborating across various projects within the division. This position encompasses both in vitro and in vivo studies utilizing pre-clinical models. The Cancer Research Specialist will be encouraged to explore new research avenues that align with the laboratory's existing themes and will have the chance to initiate and contribute to collaborative research initiatives.
This role is ideal for a self-driven individual with exceptional communication and organizational abilities, who thrives in a multidisciplinary research environment. Experience in bioinformatics is advantageous. The selected candidate is expected to take ownership of all aspects of their work, including providing updates to the team and developing supervisory skills.

Appointment Terms
This position is offered on a full-time basis for a duration of two years. The salary is categorized under Research Employee (RE) A6-8, with a range of $101,039 - $108,453. Additionally, up to 17% superannuation and attractive salary packaging options are available.
