About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our Parks Service Unit as a Park Worker/Truck Driver. As a member of our roadside crew, you will be responsible for maintaining nature strip areas and park facilities, as well as assisting other teams within the unit and other sections of council.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive and maintain Council trucks, operate ride-on mowers and other small plant and equipment.
  2. Maintain nature strip areas and park facilities, including mowing oval surrounds, cleaning amenities and servicing parks and other infrastructure within the shire.
  3. Assist other crews with their day-to-day work, as required.
  4. Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labouring tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines as set by the Parks Service Unit Supervisors.
  • High standard of service and attention to detail.
  • Good listening and communication skills to ensure directions and instructions are carried out safely, promptly and accurately.
