Product Development Specialist - Footwear

This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for developing, buying and managing product categories within our footwear range.

The ideal candidate will have experience in buying, ideally within outdoor, fashion or sportswear, and a sharp eye for trends with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

About the Role
  • Develop, buy and manage product categories within our footwear range
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers on long-term seasonal planning and range construction
  • Analyse market trends, customer behaviour and product performance to inform buying decisions
  • Manage stock levels and deliveries in partnership with Planning and Purchasing teams
  • Ensure the range delivers on key product attributes such as gender, activity, size and price
  • Maximise sales and margin while minimising markdowns and poor sell-through

This role requires a commercial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be passionate about product and have a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Development: Develop new product ideas and concepts that meet customer needs and preferences
  • Buying and Sourcing: Source high-quality products from suppliers and negotiate prices
  • Range Construction: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and build product ranges that meet business objectives
  • Stock Management: Manage stock levels and deliveries to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse market trends, customer behaviour and product performance to inform buying decisions
