Technical Director – Civil Engineering Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior leadership role in our Water Services Coordinator team.

As a key technical leader, you will manage and mentor a team of designers, deliver compliant and high-quality water and sewer designs, and drive the success of projects across urban and regional developments.

About the Role:
  • You will have 10+ years' experience in civil engineering/design, preferably with a WSC background.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar, and have Sydney Water accreditation or significant project experience in this sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring the Sydney Water WSC design team. This includes overseeing end-to-end design and documentation of water and sewer infrastructure, ensuring design compliance with Sydney Water and industry standards.

You will represent the company in client meetings with architects, builders, developers, and contractors. Support company leadership and contribute to building team culture and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the Sydney Water WSC design team.

  • Ensure design compliance with Sydney Water and industry standards.
  • Represent the company in client meetings with architects, builders, developers, and contractors.

  • Coordinate closely with drafters and other disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Strong Civil 3D and/or 12D software skills.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and client engagement capabilities.
