This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled News Reporter to join our news team.
We are seeking a seasoned journalist who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team to produce high-quality news stories.
The role involves:
- Pitching, researching, and producing original news stories for broadcast.
- Working under tight deadlines to deliver clear and engaging TV news content.
- Reporting live on breaking news events.
- Leading complex news stories from concept to broadcast with minimal supervision.
- Proactively sourcing and lining up stories for comprehensive coverage.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong news judgment and a deep understanding of the TV news landscape.
- Exceptional communication skills both on-air and behind the scenes.
- A highly motivated approach to cultivating contacts and making quick editorial decisions.
- A proven track record in television news reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of current affairs.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing systems and experience in TV news production.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts including weekends.
- A strong grasp of media law and its application in news reporting.
