Program Coordinator Role

This position plays a pivotal role in spearheading the organization's local programs strategy, aiming to drive significant growth and quality impacts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will assist the Director of Programs and Institutional Relations in managing local emergency, welfare, and development projects directly implemented by the organization and its local partners in Australia.
  • They will contribute to organizational planning and strategic direction setting for local programs.
  • Responsibilities also include staff and volunteer management involved in local programs and projects.
  • The Program Coordinator will support the Director with program development, assessing opportunities, designing proposals, and liaising with partners and beneficiaries.
  • Additionally, they will facilitate project implementation teams to efficiently perform each function of project cycle management.
Skill Requirements:
  • Significant previous experience in a similar role at a local level is essential.
  • A degree in social sciences or social work is highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with local programs in a community development setting is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge and understanding of program implementation within the charity sector.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills are necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
