Export Control Professional

We seek a professional to facilitate Commonwealth and industry access to advanced U.S. military communications technology under export control regulations, delivering complex defence projects that safeguard Australia's future.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the implementation of export control regulations across Defence projects, ensuring compliance with Australian legislation.
- Engage with industry counterparts to secure export control approvals, facilitating effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and manage export control documentation, including Third Party Retransfers and Technical Assistance Agreements, to maintain regulatory standards.
- Support auditing and record-keeping of export control agreements, promoting transparency and accountability within Defence projects.
- Collaborate with the Export Control Manager to develop and refine the organisation's export controls management framework, driving continuous improvement and best practice.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy within Defence project environments, demonstrating expertise in export control regulations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external parties.
- Experience managing project documentation, including plans, instructions, registers, and records, to ensure efficient information management.
- Demonstrated initiative and autonomy in delivering outcomes with minimal supervision, showcasing self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of US export controls, ITAR, and experience with FMS and DCS processes highly regarded, enhancing the candidate's technical expertise.
