Advanced Freshwater Ecology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior-Associate Aquatic Ecologist to join our Perth office. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery including proposal preparation, leading fieldwork, laboratory work, data analysis and report writing as well as mentoring junior freshwater ecologists.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatic environmental services and be recognised for specialist knowledge. Key Responsibilities include:
- Contribute technical leadership skills to achieve timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Design, lead and contribute to projects across freshwater environments.
- Undertake aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field with specialised study in freshwater ecology desirable.
- 5 years' experience as either an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist or water quality specialist.
- Excellent data analysis skills using uni- and multivariate techniques.
- Experience in project management including client liaison from project inception to completion.
- Driver's Licence essential.
- Experience in macroinvertebrate identification to species level favoured.
- Enthusiastic and dedicated approach.
