Job Overview

Amazon is seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to lead a technical team in carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance activities, repairing and maintaining machinery at our Delivery Station in Heathwood, Brisbane.

This role will involve supervising and leading Maintenance Technicians, delivering and maintaining Preventive Maintenance programs, managing maintenance related purchase orders, and ensuring smooth facility operation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, FMCG, manufacturing, and logistics, with leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The successful candidate will also have relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments, and be able to use CMMS systems to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, guiding and directing them to achieve their goals.
  • Deliver and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs including facility and contractor management.
  • Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working practices across the site.
  • Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximise smooth facility operation and control critical spare and store inventory.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance and operational equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels of the organisation.
Requirements
  • Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner) with valid Electrical Mechanic/Electrical Fitter licence.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, FMCG, manufacturing and/or logistics.
  • Leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams in a fast paced industrial manufacturing/distribution center environment.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing technicians.
  • Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
  • Experience in contractor management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, work order management.
  • Experience of multi-contractor management.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Facility management.
