Your Responsibilities

As part of the legal team, you will work closely with the General Counsel and other legal professionals to:

  • Draft and advise on commercial agreements and client contracts.
  • Provide insights on various legal documents, including non-disclosure and procurement contracts.
  • Offer ad hoc legal advice across different departments.
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Address employment law issues.
  • Support investigations, disputes, and litigation processes.
  • Enhance the firm's legal frameworks through policy reviews and training.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives.
  • Develop legal knowledge resources and improve workflows within the legal team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Laws and admission to practice in an Australian jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in commercial and corporate law.
  • A proven ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
  • Innovative thinking and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust across various levels of the organization.
  • Agility in managing multiple priorities and complex legal matters.
  • Experience in employment law and regulatory compliance is advantageous but not mandatory.
