Registered Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Western Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized care and support to patients with mental health needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop strategies for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Completed a postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing
- A minimum of 12 months mental health experience in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment, and evidence-based interventions
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster (AM, PM, & Nights)
- Possess excellent clinical skills
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per fortnight
- Willing to work across different Western Health campuses

We offer a competitive salary range of $67,527.20 - $95,378.40 based on experience, as per the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024.
