Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Waste Centre Operator to join a prestigious client’s Waste Recovery Centre team. This role involves the operation of specialized vehicles to collect and manage waste within the community.

Key Benefits

  • Standard working hours from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Operate client’s refuse collection vehicles to gather waste from various locations.
  • Utilize loaders and forklifts to maneuver waste within the facility.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Manage billing and invoicing processes using electronic payment systems.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Assist in the removal of hazardous materials as needed.
  • Support weighbridge operations and other general labor tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating waste collection vehicles and machinery.
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on conflict resolution.
  • Required certifications: HC license, Loader operator certification, High Risk LF license.
  • Proficient in using technology, including tablets and payment terminals.
  • Physically capable of lifting weights up to 25 kg.
  • Current police clearance.
  • Full work rights in Australia.
  • Possession of personal vehicle and necessary safety equipment.
