Job Title: Machine Learning Platform Engineer

At Macquarie, we're seeking a talented Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll design, build, and operate scalable ML solutions in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists to deliver innovative client solutions using ML-powered tools and workflows.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of your product in a modern DevOps culture, responsible for architecture, design, development, testing, and operations.
  • Implement MLOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to streamline model experimentation and ML tooling.
  • Work with cloud technologies, integrating with ML services like GCP Vertex AI, DataRobot, or AWS SageMaker, in large and complex organisations.
  • Develop data engineering skills to enhance tooling across the ML model development lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a software engineer in an agile DevOps environment using an object-oriented development language (Java, Python).
  • Experience across the full SDLC, including design, build, test, and supporting mission-critical production platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cloud technologies and integrating with ML services.
  • Data engineering experience will be highly regarded.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills, a self-starter that is able to work in a team to deliver solutions.
