Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tree Management Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and reporting on the health of trees on public and private land, as well as maintaining our significant tree register, street tree management plan, and street tree planting program.

About the Role

  • Assess and report on the health of trees on public and private land.
  • Maintain Council's significant tree register, street tree management plan, and street tree planting program.

What You'll Need

  • Tertiary qualifications in Arboriculture at Level 5/Diploma level with thorough knowledge of Australian Standards relating to tree work.
  • Extensive industry experience in tree management including technical knowledge and experience in tree maintenance procedures.
  • Well-developed written communication skills with experience preparing reports and written material regarding tree maintenance issues.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage high volume work loads with limited supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss and resolve tree issues with members of the community, residents, senior officers, and other stakeholders.
  • Current driver's licence.
