Cloud Infrastructure Manager Job Description

The role of the Cloud Infrastructure Manager involves overseeing the management and optimization of cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment, management, and scaling of AWS cloud infrastructure to support a robust data platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud operations, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud operations, and proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and more.

  • Manage and Optimize Cloud Infrastructure
  • Oversee Deployment, Management, and Scaling of AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Implement and Maintain Monitoring Solutions for Optimal Performance and Availability
  • Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts Using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
  • Lead Incident Response, Perform Root Cause Analysis, and Implement Corrective Actions
  • Ensure Compliance with Security Best Practices and Requirements
  • Collaborate with Development, Data Engineering, and Security Teams for Integration and Improvement
  • Monitor and Optimize Cloud Spending for Cost Savings without Compromising Performance or Reliability
  • Maintain Comprehensive Documentation of Cloud Architecture, Processes, and Procedures
  • Plan and Execute Backup, Archive, and Recovery Procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, or a Related Field
  • Minimum 7 Years of Experience in Cloud Operations with a Strong Focus on AWS Services
  • Proficiency in AWS Services Such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and More
  • Hands-on Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools Like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Configuration Management Tools
  • Strong Scripting Skills in Languages Such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell
  • Experience with Monitoring Tools Like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch
  • Understanding of Cloud Security Principles and Good Troubleshooting Skills
  • Certified Solutions Architect/Sysops Associate or Similar Certifications are Highly Desirable
  • Experience with Datadog for Monitoring and Performance Optimization is an Advantage
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Good Understanding of ITIL and Hands-on Experience with ITIL Tools
