We are a privately owned Australian company that designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes world-class radio communication equipment.

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Electronic Engineering to join our Engineering division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of engineers to ensure delivery of projects on-time, within scope and budget.
  • Undertaking hands-on technical tasks as required.
  • Resolving technical issues in coordination with project teams.
  • Implementing industry best design practices.
  • Capturing requirements and developing specifications.
  • Measuring performance and providing regular reporting to stakeholders.
  • Verifying and validating project deliverables before release to market.
  • Managing risks and minimizing their impact.
  • Coordinating communication between stakeholders.
  • Developing the Electronics team through training and mentoring.
  • Designing and developing electronic schematics, PCBs and components.
  • Building a positive culture that fosters teamwork and flexibility.
  • Maintaining a high level of quality assurance.
  • Ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Planned Coordination and planning of people in association with the project managers.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Manager of Engineering or similar role(s).
  • Experience in the full product development lifecycle of consumer electronic products.
  • Business or Engineering Management post-graduate qualifications highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of good product design processes.
  • Understanding and experience with discrete radio frequency design challenges.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design.
  • Experience developing high-quality audio circuits.
  • Demonstrated experience using PCB layout packages (i.e. Altium).
  • Experience with design for manufacture requirements.
  • Experience developing embedded systems.
  • Familiar with microprocessor interface standards.
