Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to drive the reliability of Australia's renewable energy sector. As a Wind Operational Reliability Engineer, you'll play a key part in maximising the performance of our wind portfolio and ensuring our assets operate safely, efficiently, and with maximum availability.

You'll conduct FMECA and reliability reviews to inform strategy development, monitor and interpret condition monitoring data and turbine performance trends, analyse real-time and historical operational data in collaboration with the Operations Diagnostics Centre, own and develop asset intelligence systems to track performance trends, and collaborate with OEMs, research partners, Asset Services, and site teams to address systemic reliability challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • FMECA and Reliability Reviews: Conduct thorough analyses to inform strategy development and ensure the optimal performance of our wind assets.
  • Condition Monitoring: Monitor and interpret condition monitoring data and turbine performance trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse real-time and historical operational data to identify patterns and trends that can inform decision-making.
  • Asset Intelligence: Own and develop asset intelligence systems to track performance trends and provide insights into asset health.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with OEMs, research partners, Asset Services, and site teams to address systemic reliability challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree Qualification: A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline is required.
  • Reliability Experience: Proven experience applying Reliability Engineering techniques and Asset Management principles is essential.
  • HSE Knowledge: A strong understanding of HSE requirements and their practical application is necessary.
  • Analytical Skills: Well-developed analytical skills, including root cause analysis and performance diagnostics, are required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Chartered Registration: Possess or be eligible/willing to obtain Chartered Registration with Engineers Australia.
