Job Summary

This role involves the overhaul, testing, and certification of air brake components used in diesel-electric locomotives. The position offers consistent full-time hours with potential for a permanent opportunity.

  • Overhaul, test, and certify air brake components used in rail applications
  • Perform detailed mechanical assembly and disassembly work
  • Interpret technical drawings and follow strict maintenance procedures
  • Conduct safety inspections and complete relevant documentation
  • Assist with general workshop tasks and maintain a safe work area
About You
  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on workshop experience
  • Experience with overhauling or maintaining mechanical components (rail, industrial, automotive or similar)
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems advantageous
  • High attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Forklift licence preferred but not essential
