We seek an experienced senior backend software engineer to spearhead the development and scaling of our system's core services. This role demands cross-functional collaboration with software and firmware engineers to craft critical command and control functionality.

The successful candidate will contribute to the long-term success of our software stack by leading the development of key path planning, storage planning, and system optimization functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor development of software that powers the running of our system
  • Develop automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionality
  • Work closely with the firmware team to ensure seamless service integration
  • Deliver high-quality code in a variety of hardware and cloud environments
  • Design, implement, test, and document software

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong experience with common backend languages, strong recent Python expertise
  • Experience with path planning using algorithms
  • Experience with strategies for optimizing inventory placement for storage
  • Experience developing highly available, high reliability systems
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and HIL testing
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Sense of ownership and a collaborative approach to developing software within a team
  • Iterative approach to software development
  • Desire to continue learning and growing
