Spiritual Leader for Girls' Anglican School

Chaplain Role OverviewThis pivotal role requires a highly skilled and compassionate individual who can provide spiritual leadership, worship, teaching, and pastoral care to our students, staff, and parents. As a member of the Wellbeing Team, the successful candidate will work closely with our Director of Wellbeing to ensure seamless support and guidance across the school community.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate and develop the Anglican ethos of The Glennie School, inspiring a sense of belonging among students, staff, and parents.
- Be a wise and caring Christian presence within the school community, fostering positive relationships and creating a safe space for spiritual growth.
- Create engaging and age-appropriate worship services that nurture Christian faith across the school.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents through active listening, empathy, and effective communication.
- Work collaboratively within the Wellbeing Team to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
- Offer pastoral ministry and spiritual support to teaching and non-teaching staff, acknowledging their unique challenges and needs.
- Organise special school services as required, ensuring meaningful and inclusive experiences for all.
- Deliver high-quality teaching, utilising lesson plans, assessments, and feedback to promote student learning and development.
- Tertiary qualification in Theology or a related field.
- Tertiary qualification in Education or a related field.
- School chaplaincy experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Ordained and licensed in the Anglican Church of Australia.
- Strong Christ-centred values, accompanied by exceptional interpersonal, creative, and emotional intelligence.
