About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Liberty Bell Bay, a leading ferro-alloy producer in Australia. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing a safe, effective, and timely sampling and analytical service for our plant.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage a high-performing laboratory team to deliver on plan and ensure compliance with NATA Regulations and ISO:7.
  • Develop and implement analytical methods and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, standards, and procedures to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve laboratory operations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification or experience in Business Management or Environmental Chemistry.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Analytical Chemistry, preferably in a mining, minerals, power, manufacturing, or heavy industry setting.
  • Strong leadership and technical skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
