Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality gardening services in parks, reserves, and cemeteries across the Shire, including weeding, pruning, spraying, planting, mulching, and waste removal.
- Execute tasks in accordance with planned programs and schedules to meet organisational objectives.
- Utilise an iPad to record garden maintenance activities and communication, ensuring seamless workflow and data management.
- Prepare and plant gardens as part of refurbishment projects, contributing to the upkeep of public spaces.
- Operate a range of horticulture equipment safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity and fairness in the workplace.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures at all times.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

- Proven experience or trade/tertiary qualifications in horticulture or gardening, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Manual Driver's Licence, enabling staff to travel between worksites and perform tasks efficiently.
- General mechanical aptitude, allowing staff to operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively.
