This is a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter to work on our Dozer Mining Unit at our KMS Broome site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
About You- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Fixed Plant Fitter in the mining industry.
- An Australian recognised trade certificate, preferably in a relevant field such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with other team members and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and diagrams, including those related to fixed plant equipment.
- HRWL: EWP, DG, RG & LF, with a strong focus on health, safety and well-being.
- A valid Australian driver's licence, with a willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.
- Utilising your organisational skills to ensure you are stocked with the required parts and tools to undertake work on site.
- Complete scheduled repairs and maintenance of fixed plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner using correct manual handling techniques.
- Perform diagnostics, problem solving, and fault finding accurately and in a timely manner.
- Strive for continuous improvement by identifying, interpreting and repair for reuse of any parts and accessories.
- Effectively work and communicate with other team members & clients on site to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines.
- Able to work self-sufficiently, part of a team, autonomously, and conduct works in a professional manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a strong approach to safety.
- 8:6 days only roster – 12.5 hour shifts.
