Mechanical Fitting Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fits, assembles, and installs fabricated components and parts to motorhome chassis and vehicle bodies.
  • Cuts and prepares vehicle body panels and structural openings in line with production requirements.
  • Positions, aligns, and secures components using appropriate tools, fasteners, and fixtures.

Techincal Skills:

  • Interprets and follows technical drawings, work orders, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists in the set-up, alignment, and adjustment of production machinery.
  • Operates hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments in line with fitting tasks.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conducts quality control checks at key stages of vehicle production to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Identifies defects, diagnoses mechanical issues, and carries out corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Performs routine maintenance, adjustments, and servicing of workshop equipment and plant.
  • Suggests improvements to assembly methods, tooling, and processes to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Mechanical Technology, or equivalent.
  • Strong practical experience in fitting, assembly, and use of production machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
