Job Overview

This full-time or part-time (4 days per week) position is based in Maitland and surrounding areas. As an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist, you will deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life-changing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work and deliver therapy in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centres
  • Conduct initial appointments, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know participants, their child, and goals
  • Collaborate with educators, Speech Pathologists, and family members to support children to develop their communication and social skills
  • Built meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Document, and bill for, each session through our online participant management system

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and registration (e.g. Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, Educator)
  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Children's Check
