We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineer to join our team at Karlka Recruiting Group. As a Principal Data Engineer, you will provide technical leadership to deliver expert advice and services in the design and development of data products and data-related services to support the achievement of business outcomes and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers and stakeholders to design, build and maintain databases, ETL pipelines and management systems
  • Provide end-to-end solutions
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of innovative data management systems
  • Contribute to ongoing management of data management systems and solutions
  • Evaluate process improvements to deliver automation, optimize data delivery and re-design infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest industry trends and innovations
  • Monitor systems, identify risk and emerging issues and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and other customers and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience in RDBMS products such as Oracle or AWS
  • Experience in API frameworks (SQL, Python)
  • Understanding of data orchestration frameworks such as AirFlow
  • Knowledge of data warehousing technologies
  • Tertiary qualified professional in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience
