Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role includes a 12-month full-time contract with opportunities to extend up to 14 months. The company offers a flexible work arrangement with 3 days working in the office and 2 days working from home.

Job Description

This position involves preparing manual journal entries, assisting with basic account reconciliations, and addressing queries from Finance Business Partners. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing manual journal entries and performing basic account reconciliations while addressing queries from Finance Business Partners.
  • Supporting the accountant with various ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Accurately and efficiently handling the preparation of manual invoices.
  • Performing accounting activities under supervision, following organizational policies and reporting standards.
  • Reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and ensuring the general ledger remains accurate.
  • Compiling financial data to assist senior accountants in generating reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and regulatory filings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in financial reporting and accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP knowledge or experience is essential.
  • A high level of attention to detail with proven quality and accuracy of work.
  • Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • A true team player mindset.
