We are seeking an experienced and dedicated leader to oversee a children's home in Tamworth.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential childcare and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and support to young people.
Responsibilities:- Lead the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Protect and promote the welfare and development of all young people, upholding their rights and dignity.
- Ensure that each young person's needs are comprehensively met, recognizing changes in behavior and updating risk assessments and care plans accordingly.
- Establish and maintain a safe environment, tailored to meet the diverse needs of the young people we care for.
- Conduct regular supervisions with senior and residential support workers, identifying areas for improvement and providing guidance on professional development.
- Respond proactively to safeguarding concerns within the home, adhering to established processes and protocols.
- Support the registered manager during interviews and safer recruitment checks, upholding our commitment to excellence in personnel selection.
- Compile accurate rota schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels are maintained for each young person.
- Develop and foster meaningful relationships with young people as key carers or supporters, prioritizing trust and mutual respect.
- Update and implement child-focused care plans and risk assessments, optimizing support mechanisms for young people to thrive.
- Provide reassurance and support to the team and young people during challenging situations, maintaining a culture of empathy and understanding.
- Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with external professionals, fostering a network of support and cooperation.
- Adhere to and enforce adherence to established policies, procedures, and risk assessments, upholding our standards of excellence.
- Swiftly report any safeguarding or child protection matters to the registered manager, ensuring timely intervention and resolution.
- Verify that incident reports, accident forms, and restraint documentation have been accurately completed and submitted within agreed timeframes.
