Mad Mex at Marketown Newcastle is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals with a background in managing small teams in fast-paced customer service settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in roles such as Team Leader, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager, overseeing teams of up to five (5) staff members. Candidates with backgrounds in Hospitality, Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), Food Service, or Retail will be highly regarded. Comprehensive training in our operational systems will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing small front-line teams;
  • Possess substantial experience in hospitality, retail, or food service operations;
  • Maintain a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, presentation, and quality standards;
  • Exhibit a willingness to lead by example and uphold high expectations for team performance;
  • Possibly have a background in basic food handling;
  • Understand fundamental food safety and hygiene practices;
  • Exhibit a medium level of computer proficiency;
  • Bring high energy and initiative to the role;
  • Maintain a calm and friendly demeanor;
  • Be reliable and flexible to work across a seven-day schedule.
