We are seeking a skilled Communications Manager to drive our media and communications portfolio. This is a critical role in supporting our strategy to be Australia's most trusted and dynamic university grouping.

The successful candidate will have well-developed skills in driving media relationships, demonstrated experience operating in the national Australian media market, and exceptional writing and editing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing our media and communications portfolio
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key media contacts and journalists
  • Creating and posting high-level content, including key messages, speeches, media releases, and opinion pieces
  • Supervising the Marketing and Communications Officer and a Communications Intern

About You

">

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

">
  • Well-developed skills in driving media relationships with senior journalists in national/state politics
  • Demonstrated experience operating in the national Australian media market
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and well-presented written material
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to manage stakeholder relationships with diplomacy, sensitivity, confidentiality, and tact
