While primarily a private billing practice, accommodations can be made for patients facing genuine financial hardships. Additionally, an on-site pathology collection service and an adjacent pharmacy enhance patient convenience.

    About the Location:
    Situated in a vibrant region, this area is recognized as a key industrial center. Residents can enjoy a tropical climate characterized by warm summers and mild winters, along with access to recreational facilities such as a public marina and parks, making it an ideal environment for families.

    Role Summary:
    The position available is for a full-time Family Medicine Practitioner within a diverse General Family Practice. The expected work schedule includes five days a week (from 8 AM to 5 PM) and alternating Saturdays (from 9 AM to 12 PM).

    Key Responsibilities:
    The selected candidate will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

    Essential Skills for General Practice:
    Experience in a semi-rural, family-oriented medical setting.

    Medical Expertise:
    Understanding of chronic disease management, including diabetes, respiratory issues, cardiovascular conditions, geriatrics, pediatrics, ENT, dermatology, cancer diagnosis, management plans, joint disorders, and pain management.

    Surgical Competencies:
    • Perform minor surgical interventions within the clinic.
    • Conduct excisions of skin lesions, wound repairs, and foreign body removals.
    • Manage abscess drainage and wart treatments.
    • Administer cortisone joint injections and perform minor skin cancer surgeries.
    Obstetrics and Gynecology:
    Provide contraceptive counseling, STD management, antenatal care, pap smear tests, and postnatal support.

    Anesthesia:
    Administer local anesthetics and nerve blocks for minor procedures.

    Emergency Care:
    Handle acute respiratory conditions, asthma management, and cardiovascular emergencies, including stabilization prior to hospital transfer. Skills in ECG interpretation, IV access, and knowledge of emergency medications are essential.

    Mental Health:
    Possess counseling skills and knowledge of psychiatric medications, with the ability to intervene in crisis situations.

    Additional Responsibilities:
    Interpret diagnostic imaging such as ultrasounds and x-rays, provide inpatient care, and conduct home visits as necessary.

    Specialized Skills:
    Expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and management is crucial, with training available for dermoscopy and SolarScan equipment.

    After-Hours Duties: Yes, the candidate will participate in after-hours shifts with other practitioners for the clinic's patients.

    Qualifications:
    • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
