Job Overview

This role offers the opportunity to take on a leadership position and play an integral part in the provision of high-quality care to residents. The Team Leader will support the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care, ensuring the individual needs and wishes of each resident are met.

The successful candidate will have the ability to provide social and emotional support to all residents, and lead/supervise care on the shift. They will also be responsible for performing medicine-related tasks in accordance with their scope of qualification and Calvary policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic and person-centered care to residents
  • Support the coordination of care needs across the home, including medication management and pressure care management
  • Lead/supervise care on the shift, within designated areas
  • Perform medicine-related tasks as required
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications: Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration to administer medication), Certificate IV in Ageing Support (including HLTHPS007 Administer & Monitor Medicines), or Certificate III in Individual Support with willingness to undertake training
  • High level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs
  • Current National police check
  • Working knowledge of WHS and Infection Control
