Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Clinical Governance Specialist to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all clinical governance aspects across our support services.

Your primary focus will be on providing expert clinical advice on policies and procedures, projects, reports, and data interpretation to contribute to our quality improvement processes, risk management systems, and overarching clinical governance framework.

This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our focus on Clinical Governance and ensuring the consistent implementation of well-informed practice throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical governance strategies to improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate clinical risks associated with safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults
  • Provide training and support to staff on clinical governance best practices and policies
  • Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures related to clinical governance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A formal qualification in a relevant field, such as Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health
  • Significant experience in preparing and engaging in accreditation processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing clinical governance frameworks
  • Cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous communities
  • High-level knowledge of contemporary, evidence-based approaches to safeguarding children, mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, and complex trauma
