Job DescriptionOur organization is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable and safe operation of equipment. This individual will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance activities, supervising contractors as required, and ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance tasks on site equipment, including ball mills, slag drier, dispatch systems, and ship unloader.
  • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance activities, including PMR inspections, electrical troubleshooting, and v-belt replacement.
  • Safely operate and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as loaders, raw material unloading/reclaiming systems, and finished product despatch systems.
  • Supervise production and maintenance contractors, including issuing permits for work and reviewing risk assessments.

Requirements
  1. Prior experience in heavy industry, preferably in mechanical or electrical trade roles.
  2. EWP Licence and relevant tickets (Confined Space, Working at Heights).
  3. Prior knowledge of operating or troubleshooting SCADA systems.
