Our client, a leading player in the aviation sector, is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to oversee all aspects of airport operations. Located in a bustling region, this role requires a professional with a passion for ensuring seamless and secure airport functions.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description:

This critical position involves leading and managing operational activities to guarantee the airport runs efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Operational Management: Oversee all operational and security policies for the airport.
  • Budget Management: Ensure financial efficiency through effective budget management, encompassing both operational and capital expenses.
  • Capital Works: Lead project management for capital works and infrastructure developments.
  • Committee Leadership: Chair key airport committees, including the Airport User Group, Airport Emergency & Safety Committee, and Security Committee.
  • Compliance Audits: Coordinate and conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Facilitate the implementation of strategic plans for the growth and development of the airport.
  • Tenancy Agreements: Provide support for commercial tenancy agreements, negotiations, and leasing within the airport precinct.
  • Security Operations: Manage security operations, including the Visitor Identification Card system, video surveillance, and car park access controls.

Position Requirements:

  • A proven track record in airport operations, security, and emergency management.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the aviation industry, with knowledge of aviation industry regulations and standards.
  • Possession of Aviation Security Identification (ASIC) Card, Aviation Radio Operators Certificate, Cert III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations), Queensland Driver's Licence, and Queensland Security Licence or eligibility to obtain.

  • Aeronautical knowledge or experience in surveying or civil engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage operational challenges.
