Electrical Design Expertise

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our engineering consultancy in Melbourne.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the group leader to monitor resource requirements for each project.
  • Carry out concept design, detailed design, tender, and on-site supervision.
  • Work with the design team to produce coordinated designs that meet technical compliance and quality standards.
  • Contribute positively to design/project meetings.
  • Perform regular design reviews and checks.
  • Monitor project progress, variations, and financial budgets.
  • Maintain good relations with industry networks, clients, government agencies, sub-consultants, and contractors.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting experience is highly valued.
  • Mission critical design/data centre design experience is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
