Opportunity Overview

Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduling Professional to join its Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) team at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This role will be responsible for ensuring that scheduling, planning, resource allocation, work order management, monitoring, and performance reporting are executed efficiently and effectively.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a permanent, salaried role with a 38-hour week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive, and inclusive team culture, with regular training and development opportunities. We prioritize work/life balance, with a strong commitment to mental wellbeing, and offer flexible working hours, including a 12 o'clock finish on most Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Defence maintenance planners to schedule and co-ordinate network maintenance activities and operational programs across Australia.
  • Use Commonwealth Mandated Information Systems (e.g. MILIS) for managing work orders, scheduling maintenance tasks, and requisitioning and managing parts.
  • Liaise with our Defence client to schedule weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance planning.
  • Contribute to continuous innovation by collaboratively identifying improvement initiatives; analysing and recommending improvements to current Ventia and Defence maintenance practices.
  • Generate and compile reports, addressing any non-conformances in the processes, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling activities within a complex maintenance environment (essential).
  • Working knowledge of SAP (highly desirable).
  • Current Australian State or territory class C Driver's Licence (essential).
  • Tertiary qualification in planning, scheduling, or a related field (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records, schedules and reports, within information management systems.
  • A 'can-do', proactive approach to working within a large team environment.
  • Experience (to an intermediate level) in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

Pay and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include regular training and development opportunities, ongoing mentoring, peer support, and a variety of learning opportunities to accelerate your development.
