Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team at the RAAF Base Edinburgh. This role will be responsible for ensuring that scheduling, planning, resource allocation, work order management, monitoring, and performance reporting are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Defence maintenance planners to schedule and coordinate network maintenance activities and operational programs across Australia.
  • Use Commonwealth Mandated Information Systems (e.g., MILIS) for managing work orders, scheduling maintenance tasks, and requisitioning and managing parts.
  • Liaise with our Defence client to schedule weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance planning.
  • Contribute to continuous innovation by identifying improvement initiatives, analyzing, and recommending improvements to current Ventia and Defence maintenance practices.
  • Generate and compile reports, addressing any non-conformances in the processes, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling activities within a complex maintenance environment is essential.
  • A working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.
  • A current Australian State or territory class C Driver's Licence is required.
  • Tertiary qualification in planning, scheduling, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records, schedules, and reports within information management systems is necessary.
  • A 'can-do', proactive approach to working within a large team environment is expected.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are required.
