Assistant Coordinator Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our team at St Ignatius Outside School Hours Care in Toowong. As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping the experiences of the children in our care, providing a safe, secure, and relaxed environment that fosters social skills, problem-solving, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, delivery, and documentation.
  • Staff rostering and supervision.
  • Administration and financial management tasks.
  • Deliver a high-quality, inclusive, educational program.
  • Provide children with a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Promote the service within the local community.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in the education and care of children.
  • Effective computer skills and experience with childcare management software.
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills.
