The Position: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a self-motivated, confident, and passionate Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Resolving operational issues in the field, identifying any issues and performing troubleshooting procedures.
  2. Determining customer needs and offering recommendations.
  3. Contributing to business growth and sustainment through technical involvement, influence, and teamwork.
Primary Field Technician Job Duties

Typical duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. New equipment installations, customer training, emergency and routine repair, contract sales and maintenance, and any other service-related activities as directed by management.
  2. Determining and recommending which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
  3. Developing and maintaining technical and operational competency on print products through study, training, hands-on use, and field exposure to customer applications.
  4. Achieving and maintaining a level of customer satisfaction consistent with print quality guidelines and objectives.
  5. Collaborating and teamworking with sales members to assist with machine demos, installations, technical training, courtesy calls, customer communication, and follow-up activities.

You will be assigned to a divisional service territory, with a primary customer list, which will be considered the primary area of responsibility.

Requirements
  1. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or trade qualification.
  2. 1-2+ years mission-critical print machinery maintenance experience.
  3. Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system theory and operation.
  4. Possess interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
  5. Teamwork driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  6. Willing and able to share knowledge and conduct training to diverse audiences of varying size.
  7. Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  8. Effective time management skills; able to prioritize multiple activities and commitments.
