Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Counselling Trainer and Assessor to join our team. As a registered training organisation, we offer high-quality vocational education and training in Health and Community Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training in Counselling using comprehensive learning materials and providing support and feedback to ensure successful program completion.

Key aspects of the role include monitoring, marking, and conducting student assessments, as well as planning, reviewing, and improving training and assessment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong counselling industry experience and recovery-oriented approach skills.
  • Keen interest in teaching others about the industry.
  • Desirable: training, teaching, or lecturing experience.
  • Confidence and motivation to deliver exceptional face-to-face education.
  • Sensitivity to adapt teaching styles for diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Commitment, flexibility, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Continuing professional development requirements.
  • Relevant vocational qualification in Counselling (Degree or Diploma level).
  • Minimum 2 years industrial/professional experience.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Current Police Check.
  • Language Literacy and Numeracy level appropriate for teaching.
