Physics Instructor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Physics teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. This is a full-time teaching role in Physics, with the option to combine other subject areas across Years 7-12.

Job Description:
As a Physics instructor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. You will incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, practical experiments, demonstrations, and interactive activities to cater to different learning styles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver Physics lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Incorporate various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Supervise and guide students during laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and resources, organizing practical sessions that reinforce theoretical concepts.
  • Design and administer assessments such as quizzes, exams, and lab reports to evaluate student understanding.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying updated on the latest educational practices and curriculum changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia. Hold a valid VIT registration and CECV Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (or working towards). Experience in Physics is advantageous, but graduates are welcome to apply. A minimum of 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification is required, with further study an advantage.
