The Role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible for providing expert nursing care in the assessment and management of mental health issues.

  • Develop and implement effective discharge plans and transfer care arrangements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review treatment plans.
Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the relevant professional body.
  • Three years' experience working in mental health settings, combined with post-graduate qualifications or equivalent experience/qualifications.
Work Environment

The Bathurst Correctional Centre is a mixed-security facility located in Western NSW. The centre provides a range of services including food, laundry, packing, horticulture, cleaning, and building maintenance.

Our Service

Custodial Mental Health (CMH) is a specialist mental health service within the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network that provides mental health services to adults in NSW correctional centres.
