Job Title: Geographical Information System Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our dynamic team as a Geographical Information System (GIS) administrator. As the key driver for technical development of the GIS, you will be responsible for providing a stable GIS foundation, delivering the most up-to-date information, and offering strong governance and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement software releases and upgrades
  • Manage all GIS databases
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and implement governance policies for the GIS
  • Work with stakeholders to set the strategic direction for the development of the GIS
  • Consult with internal clients to determine business requirements and design technical solutions to satisfy these needs
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the design of Councils GIS systems and services

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need specialist experience administering ESRI enterprise technology in a fast-paced and challenging corporate environment. You should have excellent analytical skills, an understanding of current and emerging technologies and trends, and the ability to connect people and technology to critically analyse business needs and solve challenges.
