Job Title: Strategic Policy and Advocacy Leader

The position will oversee the development and implementation of strategic policy initiatives to drive organizational objectives. This role will have a strong focus on fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to support policy, research, and advocacy priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic policy initiatives in support of organizational goals.
  • Provide oversight of health research activities to inform policy development and decision-making.
  • Manage the coordination of stakeholder engagement and relationship-building efforts to advance policy, research, and advocacy outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality reports, submissions, and other policy documents to support organizational objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance policy, research, and advocacy outcomes.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in health or social policy, planning, research, and/or governance. They will also have demonstrated knowledge and experience in comprehensive primary health care, including the social and cultural determinants of health.

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in health or social policy, planning, research, and/or governance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in comprehensive primary health care, including the social and cultural determinants of health.
  • Demonstrated high-level experience in strategic policy development and implementation in a health-related sector and a sound understanding of government policy processes.
