About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Arcare Hope Island.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our residents, including assessing their health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.

You will also be responsible for managing and dressing wounds, preventing infections, and promoting proper wound healing.

Additionally, you will develop and implement individualized care plans based on residents' specific needs and medical conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Care: Providing high-quality medical care to residents, including assessing their health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
  • Wound Management: Managing and dressing wounds, preventing infections, and promoting proper wound healing.
  • Health Care Planning: Developing and implementing individualized care plans based on residents' specific needs and medical conditions.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Conducting thorough health assessments, maintaining accurate medical records, and documenting changes in residents' health conditions.
  • Pain Management: Addressing pain concerns and implementing pain management strategies.
  • Emergency Response: Being prepared to handle medical emergencies and coordinating the response as necessary.
  • End-of-Life Care: Providing comfort and support during end-of-life care, including palliative care.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
