Job Title: Financial Portfolio Manager

Role Overview

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for the financial management of a portfolio of projects, acting as the key contact point for the Project Management Unit (PMU) to provide accurate budget actuals and forecast reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain structural elements for projects within financial systems, including chart of accounts, project accounting structures, and timesheet mapping.
  • Update revenue schedules for each project to ensure high accuracy of revenue recognition in compliance with group policies.
  • Review, approve, and process client invoices within financial systems.
  • Reconcile outstanding items relating to Work-in-Progress / Unbilled Revenue.
  • Ensure cost forecasts for all projects are accurate and up-to-date on a regular basis.
About You

You will have prior experience working in Finance, preferably in a similar role or working on the financial management of projects or a portfolio of projects. Excellent MS Excel skills are required, along with the ability to navigate complex systems and implement process improvements.

  • Familiarity with working in a project-based setting is essential.
  • A collaborative and deadline-driven approach is required, with a strong sense of timing.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary, especially in matrixed environments.
  • Proactive prioritization and task completion skills are essential.
  • The ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders is required.
  • Pursuing a qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is ideal.
