We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our small but dedicated Payroll team based in Clayton, Victoria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of our fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation, policies, and awards.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll for 680+ employees on a fortnightly basis, across 5 different awards and two states
- Perform month-end reconciliations and reporting to the Senior Management Team
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including PAYG, Superannuation, STP Reporting, and Payroll Tax
- Review and audit payroll data, reporting on findings to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Process off-cycle payments and terminations, including third-party payments
- Provide exceptional customer service through regular reporting, emails, and phone queries on various payroll matters
You will be an experienced Senior Payroll Officer with a continuous improvement mindset, adaptable and detail-oriented. You will thrive on being a true business partner, providing friendly, speedy, and accurate customer service to our employees.
You will have previous senior payroll experience in a similar role, working with an automated payroll environment, and possess impeccable attention to detail and accuracy. You will be confident in communicating with all levels of employees and leaders, and have intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
