Automation Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Pinnacle Drinks. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to new and existing automation systems across multiple production sites.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy automated solutions to streamline operational processes and improve system reliability.
- Implement standardisation initiatives in preferred equipment, applications, and systems integration.
- PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
- Remain current on industry developments and technologies to facilitate and lead change in the organisation.
- Provide detailed analytics on efficiency performance to enable agile change if required.
- Liaise with IT to minimise OT Network security risks and ensure required IT infrastructure meets operational standards.
- Promote values and systems to embed safety, quality, and sustainability into the culture and ways of working.
- Project, development, and maintenance experience within manufacturing and hygienic applications.
- Experience with automated control systems for production lines, waste water, product storage, and handling.
- Degree-level qualifications in either electrical, mechanical/mechatronics engineering (or similar).
- Skills in Ignition SCADA design and implementation.
- Experience in integrations between multiple systems (PLC, SCADA, ERP, CMMS, etc.).
- Design and implementation skills for capability with PLC and HMI platforms (i.e. Rockwell Automation, Siemens, CODESYS, Red Lion, Beijer, Exor).
- Experience with programming languages including Python and SQL.
- Understanding of basic IT/OT networking principles and security (VLANs, segregation, managed switches, etc.).
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 principles to maximise utilisation and benefit of acquired data and system analytics.
