Scientific Product Leadership

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to drive the commercial success of advanced scientific instruments in the ANZ market.

About the Role:

The Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing market strategies, engaging with customers, and collaborating across functions to ensure products meet evolving customer needs.

  • Review business and marketing/sales plans to achieve annual sales targets and overall business objectives
  • Gather information on market conditions, competitor activities, and customer needs
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts and product demand forecasts
  • Drive learnings and development of sales team in area of product sales to achieve team/function/sales goals
  • Manage product launches, including product launch plans with parts creations, price positioning, sales and service training
  • Complete and submit tenders by liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to understand customer preferences and price positioning
  • Lead market research and analysis to assess customer attitudes to the current product range, and new product introductions

This role requires a strong blend of scientific expertise, commercial insight, and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and success in a Product Management position, as well as experience working within spatial biology, genomics, molecular or cell biology.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree in genomics, molecular and/or cell biology
  • Proven sales or applications experience within a high-performance culture
  • Strong client management and communication skills
  • Financial understanding and pricing/margin calculations
  • Proficiencies in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
